Motivational Movement is a fun, energetic, upbeat, and judgment-free cardio class with a focus on positivity and motivation. This class is geared toward individuals who like to exercise in a fun way without having the dread of exercising. Each class has a motivational mantra to be used in class and can be carried on out of class as well. Participants should expect fun and motivation! No prior movement/dance experience is required.
Barre Feel, Stretch, and Strengthen Class is for people who want to be more in tune with the way in which their body moves. Participants work through stretching and strengthening activities at the barre with a focus on feeling and being mindful of each movement. Participants will also work on basic strengthening techniques through the lens of appreciation of the body. Participants will leave feeling stretched, strengthened, and empowered. Though ballet concepts are used in the class, no prior ballet experience is required.
Rhythm Release Class is a cardio class for individuals who like rhythm and using movement as a way to release built up energy. You will use body parts and other items to create and express rhythm in a way that is both energetic and fun. This class is a great way to release stress, tension, and anything else. In addition to being challenged and sweaty, participants have the opportunity to release that which is no longer serving them. No prior movement/dance or rhythm experience is required.
Full Body Floor Explore takes participants through core, arm and leg movements for toning and strengthening. Participants celebrate their strength with gratitude for the capabilities of their unique bodies. Since the majority of the movement in this class takes place on the floor, participants are encouraged to bring a mat, towel, or blanket for padding. No movement experience is required for this class.
Bethanie loves helping people grow in all areas of life! She meets people where they are and helps them get closer to where they want to be by offering a safe, supported, positive and judgment-free environment. Bethanie’s movement classes are rooted in her dance background, but are constantly adapted to meet the needs of current students. Bethanie believes that everyone deserves to be wholly well and that movement is a huge part of that wellness! You will leave her class feeling challenged, encouraged, motivated, and proud of yourself for putting in the work. Bethanie earned her BA in Dance Education from Hope College, her M.Ed. in School Counseling from Grand Valley State University, and she is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She enjoys combining all of her professional studies and experiences to help others be well.
